Meet Dara Adenekan

As part of our new Character Counts Programme we celebrate a student every Month. February's Character of the Month is Oluwadara Adenekan! Oluwadara, the daughter of an engineer father and an artist mother may appear to be your regular student, but for many students and lecturers in the college, she clearly stands out as a student that would not pass you by without saying a hello with a genuine, infectious smile.

Her likes are humility and encouraging people, both of which are clearly reflected in her composure and comportment. She likes making friends and enjoys serving her immediate community. The love of her life is Jesus Christ:’’I am head over heels in love with Jesus and I wonder how somehow could die for me’’. Her parents too have inculcated the love for God in her.

Dara as she is fondly called by her friends would like to be a legal practitioner, which she believes would give the ample opportunity to fight for the interest of the less privileged in the society.

Oxbridge College definitely has a place in her heart as she claims, ‘’Oxbridge College has helped me in time management. Now I know how to prioritise and how to handle difficult challenges’’.

Dara enjoys the local ofada rice and Agege bread ;-)

So next time you visit the college, be on the look out for that girl with the infectious smile. You surely can’t miss Dara.
