How Laziness Changed My Life by OFILI OKECHUKWU (Oxbridge Alumnus!!)!

This is another inspiring story from one of our old boys, Ofili Okechukwu, as he releases his second inspirational book…

Two years ago, author, speaker and blogger Okechukwu Ofili shared his "stupidity" with the world in the hilariously successful “How Stupidity Saved My Life.” Everything seemed to be going well for the engineer, turned blogger, turned speaker, but all that changed when he visited the doctor’s for a routine check-up and was diagnosed with a life threatening disease. He later found that his diagnosis was a result of over working himself. After seeing so many other burnt out people, he decided to pen his second book illustrating how, contrary to popular belief, Laziness can actually save your life! The result is the witty HOW LAZINESS SAVED MY LIFE: A collection of radical business ideas for tired, overworked and frustrated people looking for an easier way to get stuff done!

Okechukwu passed through the A’ Level programme in Oxbridge Tutorial College, Ikeja, Lagos, where he emerged with AAA in his CIE (Cambridge International Examination ) results. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University Of Houston with a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering. While at University he co-founded the Nigerian Students Association, the largest Minority Organization in the institutions history, and was later awarded the University’s highest student recognition as the 2004 Homecoming King, the first of its kind ever for an international student.

While in university, Ofili masterminded his internationally acclaimed “Myths Of College” to share unique cultural perspectives on the hardships and opportunities that students might face in College. He approaches the college series in a non-traditional way focusing on leadership, health and finances while simultaneously leaving enlightening tips necessary to excel academically. Ofili utilizes principles taught by renowned speakers such as Dale Carnegie, Dave Ramsey and Robert Kiyosaki as well as personal stories to deliver moving, motivational presentations that leave the audience empowered. His primary goal is to inspire and motivate students to become successful in college.

Keep it up! We're rooting for you!
