2012 APEN Conference Nigeria

The 4th Annual Conference of APEN (Association of Private Educators in Nigeria), which Oxbridge College is an active member of, took place between the 22nd and 24th October, 2012. Incidentally, the association has its headquarter on the college premises, with the Managing Director of the college, Dr.(Mrs.) C.O Ogunsanya as its current Chairman.

Close to 39 member- schools were in attendance and it is an event that combined scholarship, social networking and fun all rolled into one. The keynote address was given by Mr. Aigboje Imoukhuede, the Group Managing Director/CEO ACCESS Bank PLC. Other choice speakers that held the attendees spell bound for the 3-day programme were Mr. Collins Bell, Executive Director, Council of British Schools, Fela Durotoye, the quintessential and much-sought after motivational speakers.

Each day began with a cultural performance by selected primary schools, followed by sessions of training on divergent educational topics. The second day was however different as the Gala Night was held. There were a lot of dancing, fashion parades and also a lot of prizes to be won by different participants. By the third day, the highly successful gathering of stakeholders in the Nigerian educational sector came to an end with a drama presentation by Straitgate School and one could just see the countenance of satisfaction on every face of having experienced a highly reward conference.
