Every Friday at the college, time is set aside for extra-curricular activities. One of the places to visit is the Indoor Games Room,where you would find players making deft chess moves, all in the bid to outwit opponents.

Job Description: An exciting new opportunity has risen within Nigerian’s First and Leading Sixth Form College – Oxbridge Tutorial College for a IELTS Marketing Officer. The main duties and responsibilities will include but are not conclusive of:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•  Attending to IELTS/ESOL customer enquiries and following up on the enquiries as well as providing feedback to the marketing team.


• Taking responsibility for informing schools and organizations alike that Oxbridge Tutorial College offers the IELTS programme.


• Publicizing its strengths and benefits.


• Representing IELTS/ESOL during open days at the college and educational fairs held both at the college and at other schools.


• Maximising the recruitment of IELTS/ESOL candidates using a wide range of promotional opportunities and marketing tools.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Must posses IT skills especially MS Word, excel and power point.


•  A professional approach to all routine tasks and a sense of responsibility at all times.


• Focused on the positive delivery of customer service at all times.


• Excellent time management, interpersonal, organisational, adaptability and team building skills.

University of Lancaster visits Oxbridge!

We had a visit from Mr. Neil Kibble of Lancaster University today. Riveting talk, very informative and great opportunity for our students to speak directly to a delegate from the university.

 

At Oxbridge we work very hard at encouraging our myriad of international partners to visit us and our students. It always prove an invaluable opportunity.

Character Counts "Respect" winner

For the first time since the monthly Character Count Award was instituted, the committee responsible for the award had a hectic time choosing the winner, with the array of nominees presented: Ohioma Believe,Aruma Anita,Eze Chinazo,Akinkugbe Ife,Emenike Oluchi,Oji Orode,Akinola Ope,Doherty Tosin,Oyelohunnu Moyin,Oboh Christopher,Onodugo Adaobi,Eneh Queen,Agbamuche Joshua,Onisarotu Kazeem,Ajuyah Tuale Charles,Olanrewaju Yemi,Osipitan Osiyemi,Onajide Olamide. However in the end OHIOMA BELIEVE WAS THE WINNER for the Respect Pillar for the month of February, 2013.

The Respect Pillar winner for the month of February clearly stands out among her peers. Apart from her noticeable slim, tall posture, she is one student that has endeared herself to not only members of staff in the college, but also her mates. Her respect and consideration for others has clearly made her a clear favourite in  the college community.  Believe Ohioma had her secondary school education in Trinity College, Lagos.Her aspiration in life is to be an entrepreneur with the aim of being successful and create employment for a lot of people. No wonder, she has Lee Simmons as her role model because of her versatility. She sees Oxbridge College as a place compared to her former school, where students are saddled with more responsibility, so as to make them take their decisions. On her strength? She said: ‘I think I am very effective as a person’’.

Grange school visits Oxbridge.

As part of the college initiative of inviting schools to have a taste of life at Oxbridge College,on Thursday 07 March 2013, students from Grange school, Ikeja, visited Oxbridge Tutorial College. They were taken around the school by the student representative council otherwise known as the SRC.

The Grange students were shown all the classrooms in the school, including the science laboratories i.e. the biology, physics and chemistry labs. The SRC members talked to them and answered their questions. They told them about the events that take place at OTC. The students were introduced to all the teachers they met in the various classes they visited and they were told which subject was being taught in each of the classes they visited.

They were also taken to the male/female locker room, computer lab and the library as they were shown the school. Some of the students sat in some of the lessons and observed how the teachers taught their respective students and how the students in question interacted with each other and their teacher.

 As the tour was being concluded, the female hostel representative took them to the female boarding hostel which is on the top floor of the school building. The tour finally concluded in the school multi-purpose hall where the students had lunch before they left the school premises to return to their school. It was a nice experience and we won’t mind having them over for another function
