Students of the college, aptly represented by the Community Service Group, made up of students and some teachers, in what has become a tradition, visited the HIV Children’s Ward in Lagos State General Hospital on the 17th of December, 2014. The purpose of the visit was to share the joy of the season, through giving of gifts to children living with HIV.
The team was led by the Community Service Group coordinator, Mr. P. O. Adeleke assisted by Mr.Olajide Alder. The student body was led by the Student Representative for Community Service, Miss Gbotemi Kolawole. 15 other students made the visit.
Incidentally, at the time of the visit, the children were having their Christmas Party and the Oxbridge students joined the celebration, marked by dancing and singing.
Our appreciation goes to Dr. Ibitoye, the Head of the Paediatrics Department, Ikeja General Hospital, who received the Oxbridge Team and many people from the college: Dr. (Mrs.) C. O. Ogunsanya, members of staff and students who donated to the cause, to make the day a reality.
