A Morning with Oxbridge staff

The mornings are something we really look forward to at Oxbridge. Teaching staff are regularly greeted with a hot, steaming breakfast to kick-start the day. This gives us the opportunity to gather informally and catch up on goings ons in and out of the college. What better way to build team spirit and instill unity?! No wonder, you see every teacher bubbling with energy ready to go. What a way to start a day!

PFL Africa Tour 2012

The PFL (Preparation For Life) educational fair was held on the 15th of September 2012, 10:00am.

Many invited individuals and partner institutions were in attendance, but Doregos Private Academy led the pack by being the first to arrive.

According to a PFL staff, the fair was for student enlightenment, breaking down study options for university education.

The event was hosted by Oxbridge in our multi-purpose hall. It was unique because of the array of universities from countries such as:
  • New-Zealand
  • Canada
  • USA
  • UK
  • Australia
  • Dubai
Universities in attendance included:
  • University of Birmingham
  • Cardiff University
  • Thomson Rivers University
  • University of Salford
  • University of Bradford
  • University of New South Wales
  • University of Canberra
  • University of Greenwich
  • HULT International Business School
  • University of Derby
  • University of Aberdeen
  • University of Sunderland
  • Coventry University
Aside from the schools mentioned earlier, parents and students of the college attended the fair and they had ample opportunities to be properly counselled on their choice of universities.

If you missed out, don't worry. You'll get another chance soon. It was definitely worthwhile!

Here are a few pictures of the event:

Working closely with PFL we were able to make this event a must for any aspiring international student.

Yossy manning the desk taking contact details of those interested in future events.

Turnout was great with many parents and students turning up to make their enquiries.

Universities all set up and ready to go! :-)

Nothing beats one on one time with a uni you're interested in. Get to ask all the questions you have and learn about the environment you aspire to study in.

See you next time ;-)

Alumnus Ajulu Nchedonna Visits Oxbridge

His name may not ring a bell to you, but Ajulu Nchedonna is one alumnus any college would be proud of. He was in the 2009 NCUK IFY (International Foundation Year) programme at Oxbridge. He graduated with A*A*AA in Physics, Chemistry, Study Skills and Mathematics.

He proceeded to the University of Liverpool where he continued his academic excellence ingrained into him from Oxbridge. He graduated First Class in Mechanical Engineering in 2012.

He came visiting on the 11th of September 2012. Apart from meeting his former teachers, he took time to tour the college facilities making such comments as ‘Poles apart from previous years. A significant improvement’.

He also visited classes where he had the privilege to cheer his story and experience to inspire the students.

We wish you the very best in your future and welcome you back any time.

Oxbridge Students Resume!

On 3rd of September 2012, the newly admitted students for the 2012/2013 session resumed for the academic year.

It was with excitement that the students are going through their 2-day orientation meant to begin the process of preparing the students for the challenges ahead. The sessions range from familiarizing themselves with the school programmes, our expectations and goal setting.

One of the highlights of the programme was the presentation by motivational speaker, Mrs.Toyosi Akerele, entitled "WHO AM I?"

It was an invigorating time as the students were truly inspired and fired for greater heights. We wish the new students a successful academic year.
